Old Town Festival

  • Bartlett comes to life the 3rd weekend in September with it's annual Old Town Festival there are activities for all ages. When the schedule permits the Bartlett Bulldogs have a home game on Friday night and B-B-Q cookers begin setting up for the CTBA sanctioned competition. In 2011 Friday night will really rock with the addition of a chili cook-off and Open-Mic Austin providing entertainment! On Saturday the fun begins with the 5k Run for the Heroes followed by a parade featuring bands, horses, floats, bicycles, motorcycles, farm equipment, 4x4s, antique cars, clowns and more. After the parade Bartlett has shopping in it's historic downtown along with music, games, contests, raffles, food, car shows and many vendors with all types of arts, crafts, and collectibles.  The BBQ cookers will be hard at work getting ready for the main BBQ  & bean cook-off and also new for 2011 Bartlett is proud to have the Lone Star Garden Tractor Pullers Association providing a their form of entertainment! The Bartlett Museum is open along with the Bartlett Activities Center. Many family and class reunions take place during the Old Town Festival so you never know who might appear from your past. The day winds down with a Boot Scootin' Street Dance featuring The Mark Richey Band. For those around on Sunday, Bartlett's churches have their normal scheduled services. Come join in the September fun you will be glad you did.
